Syrian Warfare Review

Earlier this year the Cats Who Play company launched a RTS game about the Syrian Civil war, showing the fight and sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and it's allies fighting terrorism.

The game resembles somewhat the Close Combat series, with it's RTS and managing of units in the battlefield, the physics are good, the graphics are nice, not great but still beautiful, and well, it's fun, a hard game, with a high dificult and a large number of enemies and limited units on your side, like the real war, but still fun, as it's not impossible and with some thought you can get to win the missions.
I wouldn't say the game is impartial, it clearly take the side of the Syrian Arab Army, but i my opinion this is great, as the SAA is the right side on this bloody war, and a good game showing that will help to fight the Media propaganda  war against Assad.
The game also do a nice portray of the common syrian soldier, the civilians, having a fun and interesting storytelling.
Another nice thing from this game is the damage models, it's not on those damned hitpoints that i despise but a nice more realistic approach of modules and so, so your vehicles get damaged before destroyed if they aren't one shot, which is pretty nice and make the game feel less arcadey.

But, besides the game being nice, it lacks a multiplayer mode, which well, i think it will be hard to implement, as i doubt they will want to put the terrorists as playabe, a Skirmish mode, which would let us just battle without the stories, and well, the game could be better finished, the main screen is pretty crude, but still this is a small thing, before the DLC the game was pretty unstable, but i didn't experience any crashes.
If you like Wargame series, Close Combat and like me is interested on the Syrian Civil War this game is for you, even more if you want to give IS a beating. It's one sale on Steam on this link: http://store.steampowered.com/app/485980/Syrian_Warfare/
And buy this game, you will not regret it.
